Effective Date: October 19, 2026

Introduction

SOVALO respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how SOVALO collects, uses, protects, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services.

By using SOVALO, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use.

Account information may include name, email address, date of birth or age, username, password or authentication information, and account preferences.

Profile information may include profile photographs, biography, interests, hobbies, connection preferences, general location, and other profile information. Information you intentionally add to a public or discoverable profile may be visible to other SOVALO users.

Content and communications may include posts, comments, likes or reactions, saved content, messages, reports, connection activity, and other information you voluntarily submit.

Depending on the features available and permissions you grant, SOVALO may process approximate or precise location information. Location may be used to provide relevant connection or discovery features. You may control location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may affect certain features.

Device and technical information may include device type, operating system, application version, IP address, device identifiers, language settings, crash information, usage information, login timestamps, and security information.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, display user profiles, facilitate connections, enable communication between users, personalize content, recommend relevant people or content, operate social features, provide notifications, provide customer support, investigate reports, prevent fraud, detect abuse, protect users, improve the Platform, diagnose technical issues, manage subscriptions, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Messages

SOVALO may process and store messages exchanged through the Platform as necessary to provide messaging functionality.

Messages may also be accessed or reviewed when reasonably necessary to investigate a user report, protect user safety, detect abuse or fraud, enforce our policies, or respond to valid legal requests.

SOVALO does not represent private messaging as a service providing absolute confidentiality. Users should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information through messages.

4. Photos and User Content

Photos, posts, biographies, and other content you share may be visible to other users depending on your settings and the feature being used.

Do not upload content that you do not have permission to share.

5. How We Share Information

SOVALO does not sell your personal information in exchange for money.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate SOVALO. These providers may support cloud hosting, authentication, database management, analytics, application performance, push notifications, subscription management, payment processing, and fraud prevention.

Service providers receive information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services to SOVALO, subject to applicable agreements and law.

6. Apple and Google

If you download SOVALO through the Apple App Store or Google Play, those companies may independently collect information regarding downloads, devices, purchases, subscription status, and payment activity.

Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

8. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, SOVALO may send notifications about messages, connection activity, comments, reactions, replies, account activity, safety or security matters, service updates, and other relevant platform activity.

You can manage notification preferences within SOVALO and manage push notification permissions through your device settings.

9. Data Security

SOVALO uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

We use security controls such as authenticated access, database permissions, row-level security, encrypted connections, and other protections appropriate to the type of information being processed.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so SOVALO cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should also protect their account credentials and notify us if they believe their account has been compromised.

10. Data Retention

SOVALO retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the safety and security of the platform and its members.

Some information may remain in backups, security logs, moderation records, or legally required records for a limited period after account deletion.

When information is no longer needed, SOVALO may delete it, anonymize it, or otherwise de-identify it in accordance with applicable requirements and operational needs.

11. Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their SOVALO account through the account deletion feature in the application, when available, or by contacting support@sovaloapp.com.

When an account deletion request is completed, SOVALO will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account, except where information must be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or enforcement purposes.

12. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on the features available to your account, you may be able to:

  • Update your profile information and privacy settings.
  • Control certain notification preferences.
  • Block other members.
  • Report content or behavior that violates SOVALO’s Community Promise or platform rules.

If SOVALO becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
