Welcome to SOVALO

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SOVALO mobile application, website, services, features, and related technology ("SOVALO," the "Platform," or the "Services").

By creating an account, accessing SOVALO, or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use SOVALO.

1. About SOVALO

SOVALO is a social connections platform created to help adults discover and build meaningful connections through shared interests, conversation, community, friendship, networking, and other social interactions.

SOVALO is not exclusively a dating application. Connections made through SOVALO may develop into friendships, professional relationships, social connections, romantic relationships, or other voluntary relationships between users.

SOVALO does not guarantee that any particular connection, friendship, relationship, meeting, or other outcome will occur.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or maintain a SOVALO account.

By using SOVALO, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, are legally permitted to enter into these Terms, provide accurate information, have not previously been permanently removed from SOVALO for serious violations unless SOVALO has specifically authorized your return, and that your use of SOVALO does not violate applicable law.

SOVALO may request age or identity verification when reasonably necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

3. Creating Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure.

You may not create an account for another person without authorization, impersonate another person, use false or intentionally misleading identity information, share account credentials in a way that compromises security, or create accounts for fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unlawful purposes.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us at sovaloconnect@gmail.com.

4. Community Standards

By using SOVALO, you agree to follow our Community Guidelines.

Users may not use SOVALO to engage in harassment or bullying, threats or intimidation, stalking, hate speech, discrimination, fraud or scams, impersonation, illegal activity, sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, unwanted sexually explicit communications, human trafficking or exploitation, promotion of violence, spam, malicious software or phishing, or attempts to obtain another person's financial or private information through deception.

5. User Content

SOVALO may allow users to upload or share profile photographs, biographical information, posts, comments, messages, interests, reactions, and other content.

You retain ownership of content you create.

By posting content to SOVALO, you grant SOVALO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, and distribute that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, moderate, and provide the Services.

This license does not give SOVALO ownership of your original content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to upload any content you share.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not upload or distribute content that violates another person's intellectual property rights, contains unlawful threats, encourages criminal activity, exploits or sexualizes minors, contains non-consensual intimate imagery, promotes hatred or violence against protected groups, includes another person's sensitive personal information without permission, is fraudulent or intentionally deceptive, or contains malware, phishing links, or malicious code.

SOVALO may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

7. Connections and User Interactions

You are responsible for deciding whether to communicate with, meet, or otherwise interact with another SOVALO user.

SOVALO does not guarantee a user's identity, intentions, compatibility, the accuracy of every statement made by a user, that a user has no criminal history, that a user is safe to meet in person, or that an interaction will result in friendship, dating, employment, networking, or any other outcome.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, SOVALO does not conduct comprehensive criminal background checks on every user. Use reasonable judgment when interacting with people online or in person.

8. Blocking and Reporting

SOVALO provides tools that may allow users to block or report other users.

We encourage users to report conduct that appears abusive, threatening, fraudulent, harassing, dangerous, sexually inappropriate, or otherwise in violation of our policies.

Reports may be reviewed by SOVALO. Depending on the circumstances, SOVALO may remove content, restrict features, issue warnings, temporarily suspend accounts, permanently terminate accounts, or take other appropriate action.

SOVALO is not required to disclose internal moderation methods, investigation details, or actions taken against another user's account.

9. Personal Safety

Always use reasonable precautions when meeting someone you first encountered through SOVALO.

We recommend that users meet in a public location, inform a trusted person where they are going, maintain control of their own transportation, avoid sharing unnecessary financial information, never send money to someone solely because of an online relationship, stop communication if an interaction makes them uncomfortable, and contact emergency services when immediate danger exists.

SOVALO's reporting tools are not a substitute for emergency services. If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

10. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their SOVALO account using the account deletion functionality provided within the app, when available, or by contacting sovaloconnect@gmail.com.

Some information may be retained after account deletion when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, protection of users, or recordkeeping required by law. Additional information appears in our Privacy Policy.

11. Suspension and Termination

SOVALO may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when we reasonably believe the account violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, creates a safety risk, is being used fraudulently or illegally, interferes with operation of the Platform, or threatens other users or SOVALO.

Serious violations may result in immediate termination without prior warning.

12. Intellectual Property

The SOVALO name, branding, logo, application design, original graphics, proprietary technology, and other SOVALO-owned content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit SOVALO intellectual property without permission.

13. Third-Party Services

SOVALO may rely on third-party technology providers for authentication, cloud hosting, database services, notifications, analytics, application performance, security, and application distribution.

Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

14. Service Availability

We work to maintain reliable service, but SOVALO cannot guarantee that the Platform will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or free from technical problems.

Features may occasionally be modified, suspended, or discontinued.

15. Disclaimer

SOVALO is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee the behavior, statements, intentions, identity, compatibility, or actions of individual users. Users are responsible for their own interactions and decisions.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SOVALO will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform or interactions between users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when necessary to reflect changes in SOVALO features, business practices, technology, legal requirements, or safety standards.

The updated effective date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of SOVALO after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance of those Terms where permitted by law.
